2012 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog. I don’t expect any one to be interested, but if you are, feel free to check it out. Not bad for one year and moving the site and all the URL drama. I’m glad to see fans are still finding their way back here. Spread the word! -Austin Nichols Fan

Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 15,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 3 Film Festivals

Events + Premieres

I had some free time tonight, so I’ve continued to move stuff over from (which will close next month). This will be the only site remaining, along with the tumblr. I am going to try to have the .net url redirected here when the site closes, so hopefully I can keep that url, even though I’m closing the site on that host.

I moved over a few more pages as well as added many more. I have been collecting photos for quite some time and I’ve finally added them (better late than never?). I also did a quick google search to add even more so, there are quite a few new pictures in the galleries today!

Here is a list of some of the pages I’ve added today! Hopefully I will have more to update this week. Next I’ll probably work on setting up the Candid/In Public photos or rescreencaping The House of Usher (I have no idea where my original caps of the movie are, so I’d like to get that done asap)

I let the domain name for this website expire because the hosting site was more expensive than others, however I did not realize that the original hosting site keeps the domain name for a year after expiration before releasing it. So now I’m trying to figure out what I want to do. If you’ve found your way here still, yay! Then you already know to use
While I’m discussing urls, still directs to the original site, but that site expires in a month and that domain is held, I think for a year as well. So I’m going from two domains to none!

I hope people still find their way here. I’ll keep everyone updated with what I decide to do. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Update 4/23

Unfortunately I have not been able to get as much moved over and transferred as I would have liked. I started working with the Tribeca Film Festival last week and will be helping out at the festival the entire upcoming week, making editing the site difficult. I know I had originally wanted to have the majority of things moved over by tomorrow/Austin’s birthday but that doesn’t seem possible now.

As of 4/24 I will have the domain name transferred to this site. will still lead to the old site until further notice. I hope that by years end both address will point here and the website will be fully updated and back to full performance when the old one was at its height in years past.
